Andrew Wood Resigns from Maysville City Commission
City Has 30 Days to Appoint Replacement Before Governor Andy Beshear Steps In
MASON COUNTY, Ky. (Mason County Post) Andrew Wood’s has officially resigned from his position as Maysville City Commissioner. According to City Manager Matt Wallingford, Wood has accepted a new role with the state government.
Per city procedure, the remaining four members of the City Commission — including the mayor — now have 30 days to appoint a replacement. If no decision is made within that timeframe, the appointment will be made by the Governor.
The selected individual will serve the remainder of Wood’s term, which runs through December 31, 2026.
