Brey Foster Enters Maysville City Commission Race, Drawing Support Across the Aisle
MASON COUNTY, Ky. (Mason County Post) Brey Foster officially announced her candidacy for the Maysville City Commission, pledging a campaign built on transparency, accountability, and progress. In her statement, Foster emphasized the need for a local government that works for all residents, not just a select few.
“My campaign is centered on a promise of full transparency in local government,” Foster said. “The people of Maysville deserve to know how their tax dollars are being spent and how decisions are being made. If elected, I will push for open access to information, clearer communication, and independent audits when necessary to keep our government honest and accountable.”
Foster outlined her priorities as supporting responsible economic growth, improving public safety and infrastructure, and fostering a government that listens to and represents every voice in the city.
Her announcement has already drawn notable support from known Republican leaders in nearby Germantown. Germantown Mayor Dwayne Sharp praised Foster’s leadership and vision, commenting on social media: “Congratulations! We need more young leaders!”
Germantown City Commissioner Max Moran also expressed his support, applauding Foster’s decision to run and voicing confidence in her ability to serve. Their support reflect Foster’s appeal beyond Maysville, and beyond party lines resonating with regional leaders who see her as part of a new generation of public servants.
In addition, Democrat Lori Fulton Brookbank publicly showed her support by resharing Foster’s announcement on Facebook, amplifying the message of transparency and progress.
Foster, who has been active in her parties leadership and civic organizations, said she is committed to serving with “integrity, dedication, and an open ear to the people of Maysville.” She noted that her campaign is not just about winning office, but about building trust and strengthening community engagement.
“As demonstrated by my recent accomplishments, I am ready to listen, to work, and to serve,” Foster said. “Together, we can build a stronger, and more transparent future for our community.”
With her campaign now underway and momentum building, Foster’s entry into the race signals a new chapter in Maysville politics—one that may bring a fresh voice and cross-community support to the city commission.
