MAYSVILLE, Ky. (Mason County Post) — The City of Maysville will hold a groundbreaking ceremony for the first of four planned splash pads on Thursday, Oct. 15.
The event is scheduled for 5 p.m. at Beechwood Park. Mayor Debra Cotterill invited the public to attend, noting that the project has been in the works since April 2024.
Partners in the effort include the City of Maysville, International Paper, the Buffalo Trace Area Development District and the Charles T. Cotterill Foundation.
“After working on this project since April of 2024 I am thrilled we now have the required signatures and can finally move forward with installation,” Cotterill posted.
The splash pad at Beechwood Park is the first of four planned for the city. No additional details on the locations or timelines for the remaining three pads were included in the announcement.
