MAYSVILLE, Ky. (Mason County Post) — Mason County Democrats will open a local headquarters later this month in anticipation of the upcoming election.
The headquarters will be located at 20 E. Second Street in the former Montgomery Ward Building, also known in more recent years as the former Off-Track Betting Building.
According to Dottie Caproni, president of the Tricounty Democratic Women’s Club, the office will be open five days a week from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m., Tuesday through Saturday. It is scheduled to open Friday, Sept. 25.
Caproni invited community members to stop by and visit at any time, noting that lunch is also welcome. Several nearby restaurants offer options within easy walking distance, including Hippie Burger, Parc Cafe, Pandemonium, Delights and Babz Bistro.
She also expressed appreciation for the ongoing support of Jerry and Charlotte Lundergan and Mike and Cindy Lundergan. The headquarters will serve as a local base for Democratic activities and outreach ahead of the election.
The Mason County Democratic Executive Committee, which oversees the county party, is currently led by Chair Jennifer Gilligan and Vice Chair Kirby Bennett. Other committee members, elected in 2025, include Crystal Bickley, Clay Buser, Dottie Caproni, Rebecca Cartmell, Mike Denham, Brey Foster, Buddy Gallenstein, Janet Garrison, Yvonne Garrison, Janice George, Chris Kelley, Scott Miller, George Moore, Owen McNeill, Chris Sear, and Goldie Williams.
